JOB PURPOSE:
Plan, organize, implement, monitor, control, release and evaluate the Quality Control and Quality Assurance of the Company to ensure that products meet the customers’ expectations as well as the requirements of governmental control institutes. Coordinate and assist the Director Operations in maintaining & improving the ISO and HACCP system.
OVELL RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Principal Accountabilities
·Participate in the new product development team;
·Give advise to the General Manager in case of product recall;
·Control expenditures laid down in approved annual budget of the QA & QC department;
·Responsible for availability of raw material and packaging material specifications;
·Create and maintain the organization and tools for ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, GHP etc. in order to get the required output;
·Analyze and evaluate the Internal and Market Complaints;
·Study the cause of non-conformities, recommend the corrective actions required and to support the Factory (trouble shooting) and the Marketing & Sales department in answering the Complaints;
·Compare testing results with company standards and releases qualified products into the market;
·Compare testing results with company standards and releases raw and packaging materials to production and engineering;
·Assist Production Manager with the weekly production planning;
·Provide the Export Department with all necessary Quality Control Certificates;
·Prepare internal and external quality reports;
·Define manpower planning, training, appraise and develop the job evaluation criteria to ensure high skilled, motivated manpower and a optimal performance of the QA & QC department;
·Maintain China Governmental Certificates regarding product legislation;
·Keep up to date with the latest development of the concerned Food Quality and Technology from QA, suppliers and relevant seminars for an effective and efficient Quality Assurance / Control system;
·Monitor wastewater treatment plant to meet statutory standards;
·Coordinate and provide the packaging registration and the Production Standard Code in order to achieve that new products can be produced;
·Organize sensory assessments.
II. Individual Responsibilities
·Summarize complaints and non-conformances and follow up on preventive actions;
·Plan and coordinate internal and external audits and management review;
·Follow up on product development projects and provide timely guidance;
·Maintain the liaison with other departments in the Company;
·Review and implement of agreed quality improvement programs to upgrade the company’s product;
·Review and discuss the laboratory reports with the QA/QC group to ensure laboratory functions are carried out correctly and at the right time;
·Review test methods and techniques.
III. Major challenges, Complexities & Decisions-making levels
· Establish teamwork at all level of staff to improve quality standards to meet costumes’ needs;
· Quality Assurance & Control for a fast growing plant;
· Create quality awareness at all level of staff;
· Member of the Production team.
IV. Working Relationships
· Internal with Management team, Production, Purchasing, Marketing & Sales, Engineering and the Export department;
· External with Frint, China Governmental Certification institute, suppliers laboratory equipment, CIQ, University for Food Agriculture.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor degree in food technology or B.Sc in Chemistry, food science or dairy science;
· Minimum 10 years of working experience in the Food industry;
· Knowledge in R&D, QA, QC, ISO standards, would be an advantage;
· Good English speaking, reading and writing.
